What if you showed up anyway?

Hey Reader,

When I shared the news that I was selling Cool Wow, I’ll admit I was a bit worried people might quietly tap out.

But what’s actually happened?

People are still showing up.

Still working on their business.

Still carving out time, even when everything else feels more urgent.

That’s been a good reminder for me too.

Yes, I’m in conversations behind the scenes and yes, expressions of interest officially close on 27 June but things are still running as usual here. The community is still moving. And I’m still showing up.

How I see it is that selling the business doesn’t change what I’ve promised.

We’ve still got virtual coworking.

We’ve still got that big 3-hour session coming up this Friday.

And we’ll still kick off our next round in mid-July.

If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll work on your business next week, consider this your gentle push. Not just because EOFY is coming, but because it feels really good when you finally do.

We’re in session if you want to join us.

Rach

P.S. If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to take the reins or if it sparks something for you, you’re absolutely welcome to reach out. EOIs are open until 27 June.

  • Renee is officially wrapping up her Reimagining Purpose campaign. For phase 3, she dreamt up a 17-day conceptual festival, Wild Convergence. I find the way her creative brain works and the way she designs endlessly fascinating, so maybe you will too. Deep dive into her Instagram for a look and sign up to her emails.
  • Velvet is hosting her latest Noosa Small Business Series event tomorrow night all about UGC and how to harness it for your business. Get around it if you're nearby (unfortunately it's a 15-hour drive for me).
  • Lara has been building a new platform to connect women on the NSW South Coast for social meet ups.

What we're liking RN

  • Taking sick days when you need it: You don't have to power through, here's a look at how I tackled things last week.
  • Living our values: Showing up with transparency is one of my personal values that I also live up to within both of my businesses. Sharing the news about the sale of Cool Wow publicly felt so right (but also terrifying) and I'm really proud of that decision.

June Coworking Days: Last tickets

I love these days so much that I'm going to hold onto them once I let go of Cool Wow and run them under my other business as a little legacy.

The next one is real soon, on Wednesday 25 June. We've got 9 incredible business owners coming along and 2 spots left. Come hang in Wagga!

We’re a community of female solo business owners who get the highs, lows, and everything in between. Whether you call yourself a freelancer, consultant, creative entrepreneur, solopreneur, small business owner, specialist or something else, you’re welcome here.

We make solo business ownership a little less lonely and a whole lot more rewarding. Here you can grow your business without the pressure of doing it “the right way”.
